Welcome To Edgewater High School!
"The Pride of College Park and Orlando"
As the month draws to a close, it often symbolizes the end of a chapter and the promise of new beginnings. This transition can be a time for reflection on past achievements and challenges, while also fostering a sense of optimism for the future. The end of the month encourages us to set fresh goals, embrace new opportunities, and approach the coming days with renewed energy and hope.
The upcoming FAST ELA Reading Assessment on Thursday, May 1 is a crucial event for students. This assessment plays a significant role in determining your child's graduation status within their cohort. Performing well on this test ensures they meet their reading academic standard for graduation. Additionally, the results of this assessment contributes to one of the 10 components the state factors into our yearly school grade. Our teachers have been preparing our students this year for this important assessment and I am confident our students will perform with excellence on Thursday.
Parents, please remember the importance of your child attending school every day and completing their assignments to end the quarter strong. Consistent attendance and diligent work habits are key to academic success and will help your child be well-prepared for all of their end of year assessments. Your support and encouragement can make a significant difference in their performance and overall success.
Let’s make this a great week as we stay Committed to Excellence.
